Case Study 02
Here's exactly how this pharmacy saved £1,347.84 a year on their over-door heating bill using a single infrared heater.
In this example, we had an over-door heater in the inside of a pharmacy.
The door is a standard sized double door, and had a 3kW Convection Fan Heater installed over it. Given that the heater is on for the entirety of the 8 hours per day that the pharmacy is open for, calculating the yearly energy consumption is relatively straightforward.
The pharmacy switched over to a Mirrorstone 1200w Helios Bar Heater. Below are the differences in power consumption for the year.
| Model | Yearly Consumption |
|---|---|
| 3kW Convection Fan Heater | 6240kWh |
| Mirrorstone 1200w Helios Bar Heater | 2496kWh |
The difference in power consumption for the year is already apparent, but when we apply the maximum cost of electricity, 36p per kWh, we end up with the following costs.
| Model | Yearly Consumption |
|---|---|
| 3kW Convection Fan Heater | £2,246.40 |
| Mirrorstone 1200w Helios Bar Heater | £898.56 |
