In the search for heating greatness, we’ve explored many uncharted waters over the years. Indeed, infrared was relatively unheard of when we first entered the market back in the mid-2010s.
Since then we’ve pioneered built-in control in our heaters, pushed the gorgeous Glass and Mirror IR Panels to market, and even become the fastest supplier of Custom Image IR Panels in the UK.
With our latest updates however, it’s very much a case of lots of small changes coming together, for one massive upgrade.
Our New Heating Range
Introducing our brand new Prime, Pro and Air Infrared Panel Heaters.
The first thing you’ll notice is the streamlined, frameless finish, which is a departure from our more traditional framed panels.
Not only does this improve aesthetics, but it also allows for a higher concentration of heating element behind the surface of the panel.
It’s for this reason that each size panel now squeezes a bit more heat out. For example, our old 600 x 600 IR Panel consumed 350W, whereas our new 600 x 600 Panel Heaters up the power by 100W to a much bigger 450W.
The surface itself is now made of galvanised steel – a far tougher and more robust material than our previous aluminium FIR coating.
We’ve also made massive improvements to the brackets at the back of the panel. Whereas right now our IR panels require additional accessories for ceiling installation, our new range doesn’t – this means the same brackets can be used for either wall or ceiling installation, without the need for any suspension kits or ceiling kits.
And for those who prefer their panels on the portable side, don’t worry – our new range can also be used with the separately sold bespoke panel stands, with the added advantage that the Prime, Pro and Air ranges also come with a detachable rear handle, so you don’t need to worry about touching a hot panel when moving it from A to B!
The Prime IR Panel Range
Our new panels start with the Prime IR Panel Heaters.
They come with all the benefits already mentioned, as well as silicone seals over the panel corners, seamless rear plates, ready to go for brackets and carry handles to be affixed.
They come in the following sizes:
- 400 x 600mm 300W
- 600 x 600mm 450W
- 400 x 1200mm 550W
- 600 x 900mm 700W
- 600 x 1200mm 900W
- 700 x 1100mm 1100W
Crucially, they also come in three different types too:
- On/Off
- Built-in thermostatic control
- Remote control
This gives you a tonne of options with how you control your IR panel, with Wi-Fi control expected to arrive in 2026.
The Pro IR Panel Range
Upon first inspection, you might see little to no difference between the Prime and Pro ranges. This however simply isn’t the case.
For a start, the Pro IR Panel Heaters come with welded corner joins, for a totally seamless finish, as well as a far more seamless rear panel for added protection.
There are some differences in sizes too:
- 600 x 600mm 450W
- 400 x 1200mm 550W
- 600 x 900mm 700W
- 600 x 1200mm 900W
- 600 x 1400mm 1100W
And in how you can control them:
- On/Off
- Remote control
These are an upgrade on the Prime range in terms of build quality and styling, with both options giving you loads of infrared warmth that’s both comfy and efficient.
The Air IR Panel Range
Where things take a different turn is our Air Panel Heater range. While they emit IR waves just like our Prime and Pro panels, the Air panels also give you convection heat.
This is evident through these air vents in the top of the panel. For this reason, they are slightly thicker than our Prime and Pro ranges (40mm vs 25mm), but do of course then give you the best of both worlds.
The sizes are different too:
- 600 x 600mm 600W Combined IR + Convection
- 600 x 1000mm 1000W Combined IR + Convection (Available in vertical)
- 600 x 1400mm 1400W Combined IR + Convection (Available in vertical)
With the choice of controls being:
- Manual thermostatic control
- Remote control
The Air range is very unique as they are a hybrid heater, combining the very best qualities of infrared and convection. As such, they aren’t available everywhere, reinforcing Mirrorstone’s position as industry pioneers.
